Reconciliation : Confession

“In the midst of our suffering, of our sin, of the things we get wrong God’s response is mercy and that’s shown so greatly in the sacrament of confession. We weren’t created to be at odds with one another and we certainly weren’t created to be separated from God. Sin doesn’t just hurt us, it always hurts others. The human heart wasn’t made to be fractured by sin. God calls us to be in a loving, personal, alive relationship with him.”

The legitimacy of our calling

Living the spirit spelled out in the Rule and Constitutions is the criterion that proves the legitimacy of our calling. Our vocation expects us to give flesh, in daily life, to the words of our Franciscan profession. Love of people, conversion, reconciliation, forgiveness, contemplation, love for all of creation, prayerfulness, etc. become normal for us.
